Claude Monet: The Bridge at Bougival (1869)

Il ponte di Bougival (1869) di Claude Monet, è universalmente riconosciuto come una delle poche immagini antiche che prefigurano lo sviluppo dell’impressionismo di Monet. L’impressionismo è una corrente che personalmente adoro, perché capace di regalare all’osservatore un istantanea che pare in movimento, difficile da spiegare, ma in questo dipinto io riesco a vedere gli alberi che fanno ondeggiare leggermente le foglie sospinte da una leggera brezza sottolineata da dei bellissimi riflessi sulle increspature del corso d’acqua e proiettando la loro ombra vibrante sul manto stradale, il bambino che tira appena la mano della madre per raggiungere più in fretta l’altro capo del ponte… Per me questo è un dipinto impressionista, qualcosa che vedi con gli occhi e senti sulla pelle, regala delle emozioni giocando sui ricordi di ognuno di noi e facendoci immergere in un mondo di fantastico dove i personaggi non si fermano mai.

Impressionism is a current that I personally love, because it is able to give the observer an instant that seems moving, difficult to explain, but in this painting I can see the trees that make the leaves sway slightly, driven by a light breeze underlined from the beautiful reflections on the ripples of the water course and projecting their vibrant shadow on the road surface, the child who just pulls his mother’s hand to reach the other side of the bridge faster … For me this is a painting impressionist, something you see with your eyes and feel on the skin, give emotions by playing on the memories of each of us and making us immerse in a world of fantasy where the characters never stop.
